LEADERSHIP APPLICATION '24 -'25

IWIRE North Texas Inc., Industrial Women in Real Estate, is dedicated to creating a dynamic, and supportive environment for women in the industrial real estate business who are transactional professionals from a variety of firms, specialties, and all levels of experience in the North Texas market.

OVERVIEW

Please review the available positions and complete the application form below by 5PM CT on June 14, 2024. We will review all applications with the utmost care and consideration. This application will be used for placement on the Leadership Team as well as placement on specific committees. Positions on the Leadership Team are not guaranteed.

New members of the Leadership Team and committee members will be announced at the ’24-’25 Fiscal Year Kick Off Happy Hour (date in late-July/ early-August, to be confirmed). Individuals will be notified prior to event. A Leadership Retreat will be held on Friday, August 9th, to include all committee members.

Leadership Team calls fall every other Wednesday at 3PM. Committee calls are to be scheduled by the leader of that committee. All those applying must ensure they can actively participate on any IWIRE NTX call or meeting. As a committee member, you are representing IWIRE NTX and are expected to participate in events and serve as an advocate for the organization.


 

POSITIONS AVAILABLE

EVENTS, COMMITTEE MEMBERS

Individuals will be trained by our Co-VP Events in preparation to roll into the VP Events position the following fiscal year, a then 2-year commitment.

IWIRE NTX has approximately 5-7 events throughout the year. Events include Lunch & Learns, Site Tours, Holiday Happy Hours, Social Events, and our large Fiscal Year Happy Hour.

Events Team does not oversee any philanthropic events or the IWIRE Connect group events.

Responsibilities

  • Actively participate in meetings and contribute to the discussion. Committee members may be asked to take minutes during each events committee meeting to ensure nothing is missed.

  • Brainstorm and share innovative ideas. Events should range from educational to social.

  • Research event ideas to stay up to date with the current industrial market.

  • Keep a log of all future event ideas, locations, and concepts.

  • Help towards implementing events throughout the year. Committee members will follow the lead and participate towards the committee work plan. This may include calling event locations, finalizing the booking, creating an agenda, and actively communicating with those involved.

  • Work with Sponsorship committee if there is an Event Sponsor for that event.

  • Position is a 3-year commitment: 1-year as a committee member, 2-years as Co-VP Events.
     

SPONSORSHIP, COMMITTEE MEMBER

This individual will work alongside VP Sponsorship in preparation to roll into the VP Sponsorship position the following fiscal year, a then 2-year commitment. Sponsorship committee is responsible for securing annual sponsorship opportunities as well as event sponsors. Committee members are expected to maintain relationships with the existing sponsors throughout the year.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a target list of companies for potential sponsorship opportunities.

  • Track commitments and ensure their sponsorship is fully met.

  • Work with each sponsor on marketing material, reports, and any other collateral material.

  • Write thank you notes to each sponsor to ensure we are continually communicating and thanking them for their partnership.

  • Produce invoices, track checks, and any incoming dollars.

  • Ensure Sponsor logos are represented on all necessary platforms and marketing materials.

  • Sponsors are provided with free membership. Ensure that VP Membership has the appropriate names and e-mails and that they are added to the website and our online platforms.

  • Be a liaison with VP Events for any Event Sponsors to make sure their sponsorship is met.

  • Position is a 3-year commitment: 1-year as a committee member, 2-years as VP Sponsorship.

MARKETING AND MEDIA, COMMITTEE MEMBERS

Individuals work alongside VP Marketing & Media to form a strong marketing team to help promote IWIRE NTX’s successes and growth. All Marketing and Media committee members must demonstrate a teamwork-focused approach, as the committee actively works with the entire IWIRE Leadership Team. Committee members are empowered to integrate creative and innovative ideas for marketing content and processes.
 

Committee members have a specific title with specific responsibilities, as outlined in the below responsibilities. Placement will depend on the individual’s strengths.

Responsibilities – Website Coordinator

  • Edit and maintain IWIRE NTX website through the WIX platform. Inclusive but not limited to leadership team headshots, photos, and sponsor logos. 

  • Post events to the website as necessary. Examples include IWIRE Connects, happy hours, and tours.

  • Post email campaigns. Campaign examples include events, newsletter, and organizational updates. To coordinate with the responsible committee for information. Monitor and update as necessary. Graphics to be created by Media & Graphics Coordinator. 

  • Serve as a liaison with VP Membership and VP Sponsorship to maintain and monitor the email marketing list thru the WIX platform to ensure members are included on all email campaigns.  

  • Warrant all content maintains IWIRE NTX brand guidelines.

  • Serve as a liaison with VP Marketing & Media and the Treasurer to ensure all platforms and domain subscriptions are active and up to date. 

  • Position is a 2-year commitment, minimum.


Responsibilities – Media & Graphics Coordinator

  • Assist with creating and posting content on IWIRE NTX social media platforms and channels. Content to include but not limited to event photos, event updates, and sponsor & member highlights.

  • Be a liaison with VP Sponsorship to share and post key updates and highlights. Examples include quarterly earnings, market research, and successes. 

  • Create event graphics in Canva to be used for email campaigns and social media posts.

  • Serve as a group admin for the IWIRE NTX members LinkedIn group.

  • Serve as a liaison with VP Membership and VP Sponsorship to maintain and monitor IWIRE NTX members LinkedIn group to ensure members are included. 

  • Warrant all content maintains IWIRE NTX brand guidelines.

  • Serve as a liaison with VP Marketing & Media and the Treasurer to ensure all platforms and domain subscriptions are active and up to date. 

  • Position is a 2-year commitment, minimum.

Responsibilities – Additional Opportunities

  • Assist with creating content for monthly IWIRE NTX newsletter. 

  • Take photos and videos at IWIRE NTX events.

  • Monitor photo album to ensure we have recent photos and videos.
